Quick Questions - What is the difference between??

I am so confused as to what is the carbon charcoal canister and what is a catch can. Are they one in the same? I have two pictures. Two cans. Which is which gentlemen?

I am assuming the first is the catch can. The second is the carbon canister. But I don't know. Seems too easy.

1. is the oil catch can
2. is the charcoal canister. (handle with care so you do spill the charcoal grinds all over the place.)
