Help; Sachs Pressure Plate Removal

I'm installing a new clutch and pressure plate assembly on a '79 930. I've removed the starter ring completely but am unable to remove the old Sachs pressure plate.

Do I have to just pry it off or are their any special tool requirements?

You may need to tap it lightly around the circumference to break it loose. It should come right off now that all the bolts are out.

Or you may need to tap on it hard if it's really stuck.

Thanks for the advice. If you look very closely at the picture the 2nd hole diameter from the left side of the photo you will see a faint white line; it's a crack.

I'm removing the 4 speed for a full rebuild; 1st & 2nd gear synchros are just about gone and this is what I also find.
