Paul,

Thanks so much for asking, the old guy is doing fine and more socially and politically incorrect than ever before.

Good to hear from you and I hope things are well for you also.

I wish I could say the same, but I just bypassed all the in-between stuff after my first Porsche - a '73 911T - telling myself than my next one would be a 930. Took me 20+ years later and a bunch of foolishness messing around with MG's...trying to coax another 10hp out of the tractor engines that were put in them.

About the 'white faced screaming like a little girl' passengers: That was me first time out. Admittedly I don't scream or pee my pants anymore...what I feel now is more sexual. It's amazing how one can become at ease behind the wheel of a 930 over time. At worst, I catch myself white-knuckling the steering wheel sometimes with a perceived rictus of pain across my smiling lips. Life is good.

Would I own a NA 911 again? Sure, but I don't need it and would probably always be searching for the turbo kick that's missing. Besides, I'll need the money to combat all the bad things said about the 930's.

Gimp,

Have you got the K27 and BOV mod broken in yet? I also noticed everything is sexual to you, way too much time spent with the car. I need a road report !!!!!

Rolled the engine out and blew the dust off it. Waiting for cam tools to address the 5 broken head studs I found under the shroud. Wish you were closer so we could tag team this old girl. The weather is beautiful and I'm jonesen Porsche Turbo really bad.

If I lived closer, I'd spend too much time at your shop....wrenching and losing more skin off my knuckles and drinking all your beer and/or scotch. But oh what fun...

Sorry, I've been a little wrapped up in getting my old Husky running and have just been driving the 930 as-is. I definitely like the new BOV setup and just gotta commit to spending a couple-three hours to pull off the 7006 and stick on the 7200 turbo (got a feeling I'm gonna like what it does for a road car). You'll be the first to hear my impressions.

Cars and sex...don't they go together? I remember back in high school and spending quality sensual time in the back seat...well, you get the idea. And something about the broad hips of a 930. Ok, I'll tone it down; don't want to get moderated off this forum.

930 is gorgeous... mine is in my driveway 5 feet from 2 of my bedroom windows.

As far as cars, girlfriends, blowjobs, and sex. . .
I miss and much prefer good old late sixties american car bench seats.

A girl could scoot right over next to you while driving, lie down on her side put her head on your leg and maybe play with things while you try and drive.. and if parked on a golf course or country road at night I got good at opening the passenger door with my feet for more leg room.. .. ..

...and then there's the backseat if the steering wheel keeps getting in the way.

Used to borrow my Mom's 55 Chevy wagon for dates, worked great until she figured out the smudges on the rear headliner were foot prints.

PS: I really do need to stay away from Jim and the Gimp

lol...
When I upgraded to a '72 BMW 2002 around '79 I had to learn to deal with bucket seats, a center console and gearshift you had to crawl over, and no AC during those long summer nights...

Pull up a lever and the seats would recline wayyy back

One time I noticed toe prints on the passenger door mirror glass the next day

Face up to the fact....930's are pornographic, seductive, and positively orgasmic. But attempting to act out - in a cramped 930 - our fantasies of "the good ol' days" will result in only two possibilities: Divorce, or stains on the headliner. You figure it out....

I'm sure Brian is so pleased we've altered the subject a little...

and my car has a black headliner!

The days of hooking up in the car were a long time ago when girls I knew lived with their parents still...
