My 930 headers are already setup for twin scroll as the banks are divided all the way to the turbo.
If you wish to go further and eliminate the shared wastegate path we have a dual 38mm waste gate option, one for each bank.

I might be interested in your headers and turbos if you want to do a little horse trading.

That looks familiar!

Just to let the cat out of the bag, Brian built me a set of 1 5/8" equal length headers, with a 'kit of parts' for the secondaries so I could do the final fit with a twin-scroll GT4088R. He also sent me the parts for the twin 38mm waste gates.

put the crack pipe down......

Brian, I have a buddy interested in the headers but if for some reason he does not want them we can definately talk. I'll PM you

well hell man, let that cat out. 4088 huh? whats your combo? I have seen the 4088 mentioned before and i'm all ears. I did notice in the pic that flange was a T4

I'm still in the middle of a front pan replacement, front duct install and suspension refresh right now, which is going very slowly. I'm just collecting parts, a few at a time.

Here's the basics:

1 5/8" equal length primary and secondary headers to a GT4088R (sitting on the shelf)
Dual 38mm wastegates (have to on a twin scroll) (sitting on the shelf)
Extrude honed Carrera intake with a 75mm accufab throttle body (sitting on the shelf)
72 lb/hr Siemens Injectors
M&W Ignition
Probably Link Extreme G4 ECU
Custom cams, close to a GT2 EVO grind
Extreme heads porting, head work and dual plug.
Probably JB Racing 98mm Cylinders with custom pistons
R&R rods from LN Engineering
Custom full bay, cross-flow IC

I picked the GT4088R for a couple of reasons, I wanted the twin scroll for better spoolup, and I wanted the bigger compressor to run the higher pressure ratio I need at my altitude of 6000 feet so I can get closer to the power you guys get at sea level.

drmatera 05-21-2010 02:43 PM

looks like a deadly combo. The 4088 may be slightly large for my stock little 3.3 and since my company recently became a Bullseye distributor i'm eyeballing their S262 small cover turbo. So many choices

WinRice 05-21-2010 03:07 PM

Yep, might be a little big for your combo. I'm going for 500+ rear wheel at 6000 ft altitude. We'll see if I make it:D

Either way, I think a twin-scroll is in your future.;)

Now we just need a GT35R VNT.

The International 6.0L has a journal bearing GT35 VNT turbo.

Twin scroll is definately in my future. The car is going on the lift tomorrow so we can decide which headers will work best. Gotta order my KEP pressure plate too.

RarlyL8 05-23-2010 02:26 PM

Here is a better picture of the Y-assembly plenum on the 930 headers. This is the standard 930 T3 flange.

That absolutely puts my GSF to shame and they were better than the OBX. Superbly done, Brian.

RarlyL8 05-23-2010 02:37 PM

Thank you but I only designed them, Ben is the weldmeister.

Stepping up to a T4 is somthing to consider for a big HP buld as it has a much larger volume potental. With most T3 header's the volume change from the secondaries to the turbo inlet is quite agressive. Not so much w the T. I forget but it is like 3.5 v 5.5 sq in.

Probably not a big deal for most.

The intercooler cores are a pair of Bell Intercooler 12 x 8 x 3" 660cfm units.

WinRice 06-16-2010 12:29 PM

Nice progress!

Wish I could get to that point.

drmatera 06-16-2010 01:57 PM

wait till you see the fan and shroud. They just came back from powder coating

drmatera 06-16-2010 03:20 PM

and the cooler is fully welded. Just needs some support brackets and off to powder coating.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1276726676.jpg

All one piece. Only needs a connection at the turbo outlet and the throttlebody entrance.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1276726734.jpg

and here is the fan and shroud after a healthy coating of powder coating. The black looks wet still, awesome job Fuzion PowderCoating..
