Porsche Crest Should I go ahead and start a 930S registry? slant slantnose slope M505

Hi guys. I may have a tiny bit of extra time this summer and was thinking it may be time to get started on a factory slant registry.

What do you guys think?

Do we need one?

I haven't set up a website before but could figure it out.

I just bought a whole front set of NOS factory fenders with all of the individual parts in Porsche boxes. I think I will take detail pictures and post them on the site if this goes forward.

Let me know what you guys think and any ideas or suggestions you may have.

Thanks,

Quinn

Factory Slantnose Turbo

Go for it Quinn-
There's a lot of interest in these unique factory vehicles. My good friend Wally at Porsche Hilton Head tells me that the article on the 1986 Factory Slantnose gets more hits than any other area of his entire blog on Porschebahn.

1986 Porsche Slant Nose Turbo with only 2,500 miles « Porschebahn Weblog

I will be pleased to provide any information (brochures, options, pricing) obtained from the factory when my car was built at Werks1 (Special Wishes) back in the mid eighties.
Best of luck, Bill

Thumbs up

Quinn, sounds like a great plan and I'm sure the community would support this venture.

Quinn,
No luck with the PCA? My own opinion, but I would think the PCA route would take less maintenance on your part, but if the some of the elitist's there can't grasp the heritage of these cars, go for it.

Dave, I wasn't working on the PCA. I think Kilodawg was talking to somebody there.

If PCA does something then and I get started on something then we may have something. Lot's of somethings to put together...haha.

kycarguy 935,

Please, please do...I'm still slugging thru my divorce and haven't the free time and stability to take on a project of this magnitude now. However, I have worked this thru PCA and they are willing to listen but we have a few understandable hurdles to clear. I just took my M505 out today with my new woman and want to hold on to both :-)

I'll help anyway I can. I have plenty of info and pics to contribute and can brief you on the PCA requirements. Just Email me at:

As far as the reaction time...did you know that in some areas...officials will go to the homes of residents before the storm and say...you must leave and they will get them out...and if you choose to stay you must sign a waiver...put your social security number on your body and realize that any 911 call will not get any response. If people choose to stay...thats what they choose...don't feel sorry for them for choosing not to take help. There was transportation available for them to get out...they chose not to take it. I do realize that some people in New Orleans had no way to get out....but to say that it's a race issue...I can't believe people are stupid enough to think that.
