door mirror removal.

i would like to remove my door mirrors and strip them down for repainting any helpful tips would be much appreciated!!! not sure how they are secured...

there is a little screw at the top of the mirror base just loosed that. and it comes off. before that though there is a little serrated piece on the bottom of the mirror that you slide to pull the glass out then you have to unplug the drive mechanism then pull the pins out of the plug on the door side so that the wires will fit through the pivot.

Garage
1) remove mirror glass (there's a hole under the mirror where you have tu use a thin screwdriver)

2)remove motor from housing

3)disconnect wiring harness

4) Remove allen bolt at base of mirror

5) Buy a Bentley manual
