Bad fuel smell. Need help

1987 930

Hi when my car is off it's smells like fuel really bad, I checked for leaks but could not find any I have narrowed it down to the rear fuel filter area there is also another filter beside the fuel filter I do not know what it is? Even when I am driving the car I can smell fuel the gas tank seems fine
any help will do

1st, Fuel smell could be your vapor canister in the pas wheel well. I think mine is gone.
2nd WUR is a "warm up regulator", By the readings a huge issue for these cars and a new one is like $1000. Its used to adjust the air intake when the car is cold. I think.

Actually the WUR controls the fuel pressure all the time, it's very critical.. There are new digital ones now available aftermarket.. for about $700

Make sure you have good/new crush washers at both the top and bottom fittings for the fuel filter, common problem.

Look for pin hole leak in fuel line when car is running.Mine was in the fuel line right above the
heater flapper box ,not good, saw it when i put in a new rear fuel pump in and did a leak check.
Could not see leak when car was on ground, because fuel stayed on heater box.
Car was on a lift when i found it. might be same for you.
