Increased starter spins on cold start
The details ...
Bone stock 87 930 with a BL WUR. Runs like a champ. No other known issues. For the past 3 years my car usually fired up after about a half crank of the starter. Over the past month, it is taking more revolutions to fire when stone cold. It still starts, but may take from 2 to 6 turns before she catches. This is not yet a problem but I want to address it before it becomes problematic. Where does the collective wisdom think I should spend my time looking?

Fuel accumulator not holding pressure as well as it should, or cold start injector or thermotime switch.
If I let my car sit for more than a week, sometimes it will take maybe 3 seconds of cranking before she fires up. As in this morning, starting up after probably 3 weeks since last driven. I just live with it.

Last major service was just about 5,000 miles ago, March 2009.
Included plugs and a valve adjust.

I tried an experiment ....
Tried a cold start tonight and it spun at least 6 turns with no start. Next, I turned the key off and then back on but not turning the key all the way to the start position. My thinking was that I would let the pumps run a wee bit to 'charge' the system. After about 5 seconds in the on position I turned the key the rest of the way to the start position. Like old times, one-half spin and she was running.

do you know what your cold start pressure is? Re check it to the outside temperature.
