Porsche Rally Cars

Whilst Porsche at far better known for their prowess on the track, they have also had great success in off road / rallying events.

First there was the Rothmans 911 SC Rally Car

Then there was the Rothmans 959 Group B Car

Then they were followed by various privateers in rallying events

And now, there is my 1977 930 3.0 Turbo daily driver!!!

YouTube - offroad 77 930

Went to a groundbreaking ceremony at a new shipyard yesterday - but i didn't realise it was at the end of an 8km dirt track!! The car handled it really well and was hoot to drive on gravel.

Can you use a '77 930 as a daily driver? You sure can!

haha, ok you're not quite the forum whore i am!

i've been spreading myself a bit thing - porschesg, carfreaks, rennlist, DDK, porscheclubgb and IB!

i don't know if we'll be able to get on that road again - it only leads to that shipyard construction site. i guess we could just wave at the security guards like we own the place and drive right on in?!
