Martini Stripes on my 930

When I was 14 I built the Tamiya Martini 935 model...I have been hooked ever since. So, I decided to make a set in Magnetic & Vinyl and put them on my '89 930.
Let me know what you think. Thx, Dan

Looks like a great car with or without the stripes. I think they are cool. Does the sunroof still open?

Pretty cool, and if you get tired of it you can just pull them off.

Is your interior Can-Can Red?

VERY cool! Great idea, good for you for trying something different. Magnets FTW!

Funny I just talked to my Martini bud today - will be borrowing the Targa for the week come Monday, just because. NOICE!

With the roof stripes my sunroof is fully functional. The magnetic material is pretty thin and easily clears the roof. My interior is dark red and was matched to a swatch. The cool thing about the magnetic stripes is the option of removing them when I choose. Perhaps a set of Rothman's stripes next!

Cool! Now you just need the Martini logo on the doors and you're set.

I love white 930's.

My first slantnose was white.

I too built that model when I was younger. I also consistently drew that car.. on and on and on.

Looks just awesome. Love it.

The 935's did not carry the stripes from the roof to the tail. They painted the rear black with Martini Racing or Martini Porsche in white Helvetica type.

Here are some photos of the first version I did.

The box cover on the Tamiya 935 had Jochen Mass behind the wheel. I still have the box! Thanks for the feedback.

Q: What's on the 'side' of the car? More stripes?

And the stripes are staright - following the indentation on the hood, not arrowish...

Regardless... still cool!

I have a turbo stripe in magnetic that I patterned after the classic "Carrera". I will probably take it off for a while. I haven't reached a conclusion whether I like it with the Martini stripes yet. See attached photo.
