Can a set of turbo headers be modified?

I have been pondering purchasing a set of used headers (with heat)! I see lots of turbo headers for sale, but not many B&B N/A headers. My question is, can a set of turbo headers be modified to by cutting of the wastegate pipes and welding on straight pipes? Has anyone ever done this? Sorry for the dumb question.

What is it you are trying to do? Make a set of 911 headers out of 930 headers?
Most 930 headers are 1.5" primary so too small for 3.2L+ 911 engines. Best to just buy a set of pre-1974 heat exchangers as they have good heat and are inexpensive.
