Quarter mile results.

Hi Guys! I was wondering if anyone has been to the track in a 930 and posted a E.T and trap speed? I managed 11.3 at 127mph. 2 runs was all i had the courage to do.... Didnt want to hurt her too much..

Hi all As follows:
Pics of the warm up run... Time slip of the second. (A little disappointed about my second launch and a slowish shift into 3rd). Hope to better these numbers next time.

I trapped at 124 mph but could only muster a 12.4X. There isn't much left to get a better ET.

What do you have done to your car? 11.5 is pretty insane having low engine mass to carry the 60'.

Mine dyno'd 427 whp.

Hi all. Im running hoosier drag radials, kep clutch and short zork. 447 at the wheels without running my zork so maybe a few extra horses using it. Getting her off the line is where the time is!

Wow! Good going, mate!

If I recall correctly, the 'stock' 3.3 930 1/4-mile time is 13.3.

Using only a GTechPro a few years ago (when my car had a Kevlar clutch), think my old, red tub did a 12.8 at 110mph (think it was about 280RWHP).

So what is your launching technique and how does the clutch take it? Also is your gearing stock or shorter and did you end on 3rd or 4th? Nice time and ET no doubt about that.

Do you recall at what RPM you launched the car?

Well... I will try to answer the questions here. Firstly she does have the stock gear ratios in the 4speed box, however it has a factory lsd. It was still pulling hard in 3rd gear at the quarter mile marker. The Kennedy clutch is a stage 1 and has a higher clamping force than the stock clutch unit, also the kennedy drive plate has a better friction material for a more progressive bite, the diaphram is roughly 4.5kg lighter aswell. I built the engine myself starting with 3.4litre mahles, ARP rod bolts and head studs.Time serted the case for added strength. 964 turbo cams and polished combustion chambers. Still using cis with a modded fuel metering head. Half bay intercooler,1bar spring,Stock euro exhaust to the highly modded k26 turbo then out to my 3.5in short zork. To drive, it has all the manners of a standard car and the power delivery is seemless all the way through to 7000rpm. Add to this some warm hoosiers and a good understanding of how to balance the clutch to load the engine in a attempt to keep from unsettling the rear suspension and i think our 930's can still put up a very good fight!

Very impressive. Your dinosaur is faster than the latest $400000 super car from Japan.

The mods you listed shouldn't come near 450WHP, is there something you're not telling us? Like a nitrous bottle hidden in the smuggler's box?
