Great deal on a GT turbocharger
Whilst cruising the net, unwinding from work and surfing eBay for the latest 930 offerings, I came across this stellar deal on a turbo. GT-somethingorother (must be a Garret of the Asian persuasion, ya think?). Supports huge HP...180-300+ (it's the "+" that really got my attention, could be good for 4, 5, 6, 7, 800 hp - who knows?).
I don't know where these phuqers get their balls to even post this auction as suitable for a 930. Probably posted similar auctions for every and any turbo charged car ever made. But hey, for less $400 anyone with only one hemisphere in their brain cavity would go for it. Somebody should snarf it up quick! Jeez, hope nobody on this form is the originator of this auction. If so and I've offended you, you need to move on.....

Garrett GT1749V performance upgrade/replacement turbocharger for Volkswagen 1.9L TDI. From stock 100whp & 177 ft.lbs to 175whp & 250 ft.lbs torque with proper fueling/tuning. Directly fits on engines with BEW engine code (and possible others). 2003.5 - 2006 Volkswagen Beetle, 2003.5 - 2006 Volkswagen Golf, 2003.5 - 2005 Volkswagen Jetta.
Generic sales tittle for all turbo cars that guy could think of. Nobody smart enough to own a 930 is dumb enough to buy that for their car. unless the wife has a beetle

I really like the Chinese lettering accross the main picture, gives me a real feeling of quality...
I would need 4 of those to make the air that my turbo makes...

You are missing the potential here.
Assuming they do not fail instantly (which is a distinct possiblity) this is a variable nozzle turbo which when used in pairs is capable of supporting 350-400HP with instant boost response. You'll pay $3500 each to play with similar from the 997TT. |
