Fulda Carat Extremo tires
 

Ok friends, I bought a set of these Fulda Carta Extremo 245/45/16 tires last summer (el cheapo's, I think I paid less than $90 each IIRC), knowing that I was due (reference the blow out I had last week). Had the local tire dudes mount and balance them this weekend ($45) and went for a spirited ride today.

With 32 PSI front and 40 PSI rear, the car positively "points" into turns...no understeer. Tires seem to grip very well and about as quiet as you would expect from a stiff sidewall low profile tire. We'll have to see how they wear, but for the price who cares.

Anyone running with this brand of tire? Hey, they're stamped "made in the the Mother Land" so they gotta be good!

Haven't heard of Fulda Tires in years. I may need to look at them closer. I see on Tires Easy, they have them in the same size you have for:
