I'm afraid you missed the mark.

The 911 Turbo and 930 are one and the same. The turbo models have always been widebodys from day one.

I have both a '79 930 and a '79 911 turbo...but its only one car.

FFS! Isn't that low-grade stuff stupidly dangerous for your engines?!

Even our cheap stuff (which is anything but cheap) is 95... Run my thirsty 930 on 98 or 99
98 ron in europe is the same as 93r+m/2 in the US 95 ron is the same as 91 in the US.

Most people I've come across think it's a 911 Turbo .... but a few here and there know it's really a 930.

Yeah, there is something special about the original Porsche Turbo. It's the icon that everyone is familar with .... and the kids especially with all their 930 toys. I get more thumb up from kids ..... it's actually pretty funny.

It's funny how you say that about the "thumbs up from kids..." In the past two days, I've had a 10-yr old [tourist] take a picture of the car while it was parked downtown at a restaurant. He ran back to his family so proud, like he had just captured a picture of a movie star!

And, today, I had an 18-yr old in a Lexus chase me down and pull up alongside at a red light. I rolled the window down, and he said "your car is sick man; just sick!" And, "I photograph cars and would really like to do a photo shoot, can I get your number?"

On Sunday, I drove it to a "Coffee and Cars" event on the other side of the lake. My neighbor [with a beautiful Austin Healey] and I arrived a little late. As I pulled up I could see about 10 Ferrari's and 10 Lambos and a bunch of American Muscle stuff. Maybe 50 cars in all. By the time I got out of the car, I noticed I had about 20 ppl around the car. Lots of pictures and one "50-something guy" come up to me and say "by far, the best of the show!"

I told my wife that I'm really not surprised when 40 and 50-somethings give me the thumbs up [I guess I just expect it, because I can relate]. But, when the youngsters get all giddy about it, I'm am truly amazed! I just can't believe they'd appreciate it. Who knows, maybe, they'll be the ones trolling this forum in 20+ years???
