Thirty Five Years Between Porsches
Hi, I am new to the forum after having purchased my second Porsche. The first one was bought new in 1975, a 911S, which was sold several years later. I have always dreamed of having another Porsche after having owned many examples of fun cars over the years. I have owned an MGB, a 1970 240Z, an Infiniti G35 coupe, an SRT4, a 2006 ZO6, and a Suburu WRX among others but have always yearned to return a 911.
I started looking around recently just for fun and ended up purely by accident running across a 1989 930 Cabriolet in Asheville, NC. It was immaculate and belonged to only the second owner who had it for 18 years. He had all the original books, window sticker, and a copy of every receipt back to new including the original bill of sale when the car was purchased new. So I made an offer several weeks ago and now it's mine. My toys: Last edited by whitelightnin; 09-04-2010 at 09:25 AM.. |

If you hit the edit post button, then erase all the stuff you see with the "" codes, the pictures dissapear.

Ok, all cleared up. Thanks
Lake James is 40 miles NE of Asheville, about half way between Asheville and Hickory. It is a Duke power hydroelectric lake. |

If you like the look, but dont care for the upkeep of a turbo, you may want to consider a Factory Turbo Look (option M491). The real deal of the turbo model, sans the turbo. That makes it less expensive to acquire, own, and maintain.
