need to order parts for alternator rebuilt...

what type of alternator does a 89 930 have?a bosch or a paris rhode?
any place online to purchase the parts needed?

Hello there, It is actually a 90 amp Valeo, Check with our host as I know they carry the voltage regulators, maybe they can help with the other parts,

Be careful... The later cars switched to an internally regulated Bosch alternator. No external regulator in the rear electrical panel. Pelican can help you get the right one for your year. My 1988 has a Bosch with internal regulator.

guess I will wait till winter and remove the old one to see what I have.are all the diodes I keep hearing about in the regulator part of the alternator?

No, the diodes most people talk about are in the alternator itself.
