Does this "do it" for anyone here?

Porsche : 930: eBay Motors (item 110586632710 end time Sep-22-10 08:26:24 PDT)

Cause this gives me a case of "Oh god, why?"

It just makes we want to cringe. I guess that beauty is in the eye of the beholder (or investor). Looks far too cobbled up for my tastes and has no identity of it's own. Almost in league with what I called the Batmobile slant 930 that's popped up on eBay a few times.

..It's amazing how cheap 996s are at the moment - why have a fake when you can have a much cheaper original?

Sigh... That's one generation just way to far.

Now I can understand a 934 parts, I could understand up-dating a car to say 964 or 965, hell I could even see someone ( if it made sense or they elaborated ) 993 items. However the 996 is just a tad over the cook-cook nest. I mean damn I admire that the individual was that hell bent on fitting the parts on that car, as I can't imagine it being all that cheap. I have mixed views about aero parts and extreme make-overs.

Too many "bad" things to list, but I do have a question. What is the liability in fitting airbags in a car that was not designed or originally equipped with them? Lets hope the one in the steering wheel is inoperable.

I think the accident made distinct improvments to the overall platform.......Better luck taking it all apart and selling the pieces. Then knowbody would have to look at it as a whole unit.

Reminds me of a VERY cobbled up 934 I saw running at 1983 Sebring...butterscotch color, and the most bizarre tail...damn thing won the race!

To someone who doesn't know a thing about Porsche's...THAT's where it will find a new home. Might make a fine garage-queen.

Wasn't playa looking at picking up this beaut a couple months back? It was either this or some purple (no, not aubergine) 993 he was contemplating, IIRC.

Wow, that is sweet. I have always wanted a 996 GT - I wonder if they would trade straight up for my Enzo
