Simmons rim help

Hi i have a set of 17" Simmons rims they are 3pc and i would like to change the centers, where can i find centers is my question?
Any help will do, i just might sell the rims and tires if i can not get new centers, they where customs made for the 930.
What would they be worth, also any one would like to trade plus cash for a set of 18" 3.6 turbo style of rims?

You are way ahead selling them and buying the wheels you want. Having centers made with the correct hub pad height, shell reference and bolt circle will be expensive....

What wheels/look are you thinking about?

Cheers

Jeff is the man when it comes to rims. Sell the Simmons and get what you want. Is your car a 930 or 964 turbo? You can also PM Thatcher as he may have some 5 spokers for you.

What wrong with the centers? They look good to me.

My buddy has a set for his 930 and had to go to the mfg in AUS to just get bolts and sealer to rebuild them.

I would say the spring plate is a give away

Put the Simmons on ebay, you should get decent coin for them, they're expensive and well made wheels, probably lighter than what you're replacing them with and more desirable to track nerds...

Not to mention the side skirt & stone guard (at least I've never known anyone to backdate them on a 964T

I have built several sets for the 930 guys and they are 8.5 and 11's x 18. RH is a very popular style, and I have Speedline Alessio, and Speedline Daytona's. jdorociak@gmail.com

Those wheels with no tires are a set of RH 3.6 Turbo wheels, which are copies of the famous Speedline 3.6 Turbo wheel. That set is 8.5 x 18 front and 11.25" rears. To be used on your car you have to remove the rear spacer change to shorter studs, or I can make the wheels with smaller 3.75" outer rims. jdorociak@gmail.com

Here's another 18x11" RH 3.6 style rim.

This one started out as an 18x10" wheel in correct offset for a 930 while using the origonal 28mm rear spacers. I bought them used for a low price because the outer rim halfs were bent on both rears.

I bought 2 new RH outer rim halfs that are one inch wider than the ones that were on the wheels from Jim Dorociak.

Then I rebuilt both rear wheels with them and that made the rear wheels 11" wide bead to bead with a deeper dish and they fit the car perfectly and clear the calipers with 315/30x18" tires and no spacers.

I cut the studs shorter on the car and rounded the sharp edges with a die grinder and cut off wheel and painted the ends of the studs to keep them from rusting with black enamel.

The origonal spare tire wheel will not fit over the caliper without at least a 21mm spacer so I left enough length on the studs and carry a 21mm spacer in the trunk with the spare to be able to do that if I ever have to.

Here's the right rear.

Jim - that rear 11" looks great and fits the space perfectly. Thank you for sharing. Jim
