wheel help
I need some help!!!!
I am building a turbo/iroc look car with 9 and 11" flares and 87 carrera suspension and brakes. I was running 7.5 & 9 x 16" with et 23&12 Borbets. there was a 1" spacer in front and 2" spacer in rear. I am going with new wheels and am undecided about size and width and brand. I have acess to several different sizes and brands. Suggestions???? I have acess to some Oz 15" x 9 & 10 with 6" and 7.5" back space. Can I use these and eliminate spacers? Anyone with wheels for sale please email me with pics and price, they must be road ready please. Thanks for your help. Frank |

I built some 8.5 and 11.25" wheels for an early 911 widebody with a V8 engine. Jim jdorociak@gmail.com

Just measure the back space you have on your wheels now add the width of the spacer and convert it to mm's. That will tell you what you need to know. Cole

Sorry, still thinking about your question. 15" wheels? do you self a favor and find the tires first before you make that decision, same is true for 16" wheels, 17" are a little easier, but many guys are moving to 18" for tire availability. If the wheels are built right you can run 9 & 11's, problem is these will probably have to be custom built to completely eliminate the spacers. Porsche 930 originally ran a spacer up front, then they built one into the actual front hub assembly. In the rear I would plan on a 1" spacer and even then I am basing that on the available outer rims available. When I built several of the very deep offsets, I used 2.75 or 2.25" outer lip on the front and it looks proportional correct with a 4.25 or 4.75" rear outer lip. 9 & 11, or 8.5 & 11.25/.5 just depends on which size hoops are used.
