930 turbos vs. reliability

After the long hard 5 day weekend of 140+mph blasts and hairpin turns I have a newfound respect for these cars. I always new they were tanks but if you consider the level of modifications done to the dozen or so 930's that were in attendance we had only 1 or 2 minor issues that took minutes to resolve. My EFI baby ran flawlessly even on it's boring pump gas tune and i'm still grinning like a devil.

Oh and Pete only adjusted his valves once the whole time. sorry man, had to do it.. I guess there's alittle jelously on my part after seeing your dyno numbers....

Yeah, I totally agree! No issues with mine either after approx 2000 mile trip. I just washed my car and went for a short drive to dry her out. Drove like it did not go on a trip. Amazing.

hey Mike, it was good to meet you and I must say you got some brass balls making that drive. Hats off to ya, and that 930 of yours is a monster

Thanks Darin! Well, you drove a long way, too. Plus with slipping clutch and all, you got bigger balls than I (I'd stayed home if my clutch was slipping). lol

You got a trick 930 also. That intercooler looks good. You did a good job on that especially on the design of its mounting. Nice.

Any idea how much weight you took out when going from stock bumpers to your current setup?
