muffler install
I decided that I want to turn some wrenches myself (and save some money). Is there anything I should know about a muffler install? Will the straps for an 87 stock muffler work on an aftermarket muffler (GHL) that replaces the muffler and cat? Do I need to readjust the CO or anything else?
Thanks

Clamp may or may not work depending on the replacement muffler's shape/size.
With a lightweight muffler you can run without the clamp, so long as your turbo charger is firmly attached using the stock bracket (or something equally stout). It can be a pain to get at the muffler nuts. At a minimum you will probably need to remove the rear valence, or remove the entire rear bumper for even better access. I find a crows foot wrench comes in handy for the more difficult to reach nuts.

Do the bolts connecting the turbo and muffler need to be torqued to any particular spec?
