motocycle throttle bodies for EFI conversion
Hi, I am thinking about efi conversion to my 86 930 turbo. Here we do not have any experience with porsches tuning, but we have couple hondas and fords with motorcycle's throttle bodies. I was wondering, have someone tried this on porsche? and what benefits or dark aspects you can see in placing 2 3cylinder motorcycle's throttle bodies (off course with another injectors) on 3,3 porsche engine.

ornas,
I am using some Triumph Daytona 675 throttle bodies (about 2005 model) for a non-turbo 3.6 engine I am working on. They are 44mm ID at the throttle plate and come in sets of three. They can be separated and spaced further apart, but I decided to keep them together to keep the linkages simple and to suit the same size filter that is used for triple Webers. The throttle bodies have ports for fuel injectors but I am going to plug these ports and fit my injectors lower down in the intake runners I fabricated. For a turbo application, obviously you would have to make up some intake plenums, but the rest of the setup could be similar. I bought these on eBay for $125 each. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Has anyone considered Ducati 916/998 throttle bodies? They're individual TB's matched to large cylinder displacement and, they seem to be priced quite well on eBay.
Of course, fab'ing the whole thing is a killer.

talking about Ducati inlets, will be difficult to join thee separate inlets into one working manifold.I was thinking about benelli's or triumph placed without such long intake runners.

+1 times 100!
If you have to pay someone to do all the design, mock-ups, patterns, moulds and then make the parts in fibreglass, carbon fibre or aluminium, as well as find all the various little widgets and fittings you'll need along the way, FORGET IT! It will cost a fortune. Fortunately, I like doing that ![]()
