Does a K2 turbo exist?
I am new to Turbos and after reading up on some posts I decided to look under my car and see what turbo I had. I was especially curious because I was told the previous owner at some point changed the turbo on it. I was thinking I would see a K27 stamp on the tag. I was surprised to see K2. Does KKK use a 2 series like BMW and their 3 series (328, 335)= KKK (k27, k26 etc)? Its in an 89 930.
I posted some pictures of the tag to see if anyone could help decipher what turbo this is. ![]() ![]()

I think it is a K27, but the stamping is faint or at a bad angle.

I thought so also, I looked very very close and there is no faded stamp after the 2. Its completely smooth. It just says K2 in the box

the 7200 on the bottom indicates it's a K27-7200 (a 964 turbo). Perhaps it was a bad stamp job from the factory?
