Cold Oil Change

Here's my dilemma. I missed getting my oil changed before the weather has forced me to store car for winter.

Do I change oil cold or just leave until spring?

Do I let car idle in garage until motor is warm and then change oil or do it cold?

Also I'm looking for rear sealtbelts for my car...anybody have a set from getting car ready for track ?

I'd change it, rather than let it sit. By your question I assume you can't drive the car on the road for the forseeable future? Then idle in the garage (door open so you don't gas yourself) to warm up the motor/oil and change it. Better than letting the old oil sit there for x number of months, with acid byproducts etching their way into metal parts. My 2 cents, at least.

I had to stop driving because they started using salt on the roads and even a week after the salt goes down your car still gets covered with a fine powder of salt dust.

The rain has washed all the salt away but sometimes the fix is worse than the problem....

Yeah they really love salt there.

I lived in Halifax and drove my enduro all year round. The only spilled I ever had was in the curve from the bridge to Gottingen street where they had dumped 2" of salt on top of 1/2" of snow
