Walt,

What...a little snow is stopping you from having fun? Sheeeet, woke up this morning to 1/4" of frozen rain all over everything. Slicker'n snot on a doorknob. Good thing my FJ has a vehicle stability control gizzmo that automatically locks one or the other front wheel if you start to spin out. Keeps things on the straight and narrow. Driving the 930 would have been a death wish.

So, to your question. Here's a start anyway...from a quick search:

The delay relay has a small capacitor across it's coil input legs. When the key switch is turned to "on" the relay coil is energized via the light gauge red/black wire. Upon shutdown with the key switch this capacitor continues to feed power to the relay coil which in turn keeps the relay contacts closed thereby continuing to feed power to the CDI until the capacitor discharges. Very simple.

I pulled my airbox out...chking--chking...I noticed my green relay/fuel head was not hooked in..I know its a safety thing. I don't think this has anything to do with my car not starting.

Also chking the AAR-Since I'm at it..Coud it be possible that the opening is closing to much??
Will chk the ohms and ze oven trick....

Nope...nothing to do with it. Just means that your fuel pumps will run as soon as the key is turned on. You DO hear your pumps running?
Also chking the AAR-Since I'm at it..Coud it be possible that the opening is closing to much?? She would still start, but you might would have to keep your foot on the gas to keep the idle up if the AAR wasn't opening when cold.

*** I only take risks on ski slopes and 60-130mph.... **** Haven't strapped on my down-hill skis for dern near 15 years. Used to be a maniac on the slopes. Now, I putt around on snowshoes and X-country skis (and end up crashing when I forget they're not going to react like downhill skis).

You got spark fer sure? Running mit der open or closed Lambda loop? Freq valve at the bottom of and behind the fuel head buzzing when the pumps come on?

I hear the fuel pumps..The more I think about it. As the weather was changing COLDER-40'S..It started acting up. The car started with no problem--(heated garage)..Once outside warming up..950rpm...approx. 10mins or so..The engine would click down-(the choke) Then the tach would not be steady. It would dip down & start searching at the 800rpm-900rpm..
Going to double chk my OHMS-COIL--was leaking a little-(msd-blaster 2-had it upside down forever)

I think the car was running lean...Once on the HWY--Not even 5mins. driving 50mph...The car died....I tried starting, I hear the pumps.. The car was trying to turn over..But no Vroomm..

The next day I tried starting--same thing...tried to turn over....nothing else.

Now- I am just chking electric -testing-changing & ordering distrib. parts (maintenance)etc..etc. . Just gonna wait for spring to drive..SALT AND OTHER CRAP ON ROAD- N.Y. AREA would EAT my car alive.
