Evaluation of RS Clone
Looking for some community help. Have found and PPI'd a '69 912 body with a 3.2L and 915 transmission. The shop that did the work tells me the car is good and solid, no rust and the conversion work, for the most part, is done well. There are a couple of suspension issues on which I would like opinions.
An SC suspension has been put on the car. There is a front sway bar, but no rear. What type and size sway bar would I install? The rear shock mounts do not match with the 912 points making the shock rub against the body. The fix apparently is to widen the openings in the rear support structure to allow the proper shock clearance to reinforce the structure once the opening is adequate. Does that make sense to folks? If anyone has done a similar conversion, I would love to hear stories of how your project turned out and what issues you confronted along the way. Thank you. |

Hi there
You have posted this in the Turbo section of the Forum. You might want to post it in the tech section. Good luck
