Heat exchanger to engine.
Heat exchanger to engine, tube. Paper/foil.
On the right side (passenger) top it appears to mount to a plastic piece that takes the air to the fan area. It appears that the plastic piece is broken and brittle. Anyone know what this piece is called, i cant find it here for sale? what kind of work in required to put a new one in? What does it do? Thank-you ;) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1295982688.jpg |
That part goes to the right side heat exchanger via the paper covered aluminum hose.

I didn't find that part, but did find the metal upper and lower part that blocks off the air flow and holds it in place.
This is what it looks like: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1295994726.jpg |
Do you know what its like to change?
Pelican wants $170ish for that p[lastic tube. Do i need it? What does it do for me? thx |
It brings air to the heat exchangers.
You'll need to remove all that is in front of the piece to get it out (AC compressor, bracket, etc.). You need to remove the two 10mm bolts in your picture and the screw in the picture I posted. Once it's out, you might be able to use a hot glus gun to either glue a patch in or use the glue itself to string it back and forth to cover the hole (this is what I did). |
