Help- car is completely dead

I have efi and tried pot plug in the laptop to a power source, not the ecu.
When I turned the key everything went dead. I looked at all the fuses in the trunk and all look good

I traced the plug for the laptop and it goes under the dash tho an audiovox box that may be part of alarm system. The plug splits into two RCA jacks and plugs into box. Wires exit other side of box.

Is there a main fuse ? Could this box be a kill

I turn the key and nothing. Must be a fuse.

Thanks for help

Can you hear the fuel pump? Was there burnt wire odor? Smoke? Do you have a Multimeter to test you have power to the ignition?

No fuel pump noise. No smell. It acted like a fuse just blew. I checked the 3 fuse panel in engine compartment...all good.
Are there any fuses hidden under the dash on the drivers side?
There was one in line fuse next to audiovox box and it checked ok.
It died so fast it was like a fuse went.

Thanks,kevin

check air cond circuit breaker (?next to fuse block) 36" to rear of battery?

Back from dead

That bit of resistance exposed a poor ground connection. Just lucky, I happened to touch a connection just of the battery, and the trunk light came on.

I'm glad it happened now instead of somewhere on a back road on the targa California. Now I have a one more item to add to my laundry list .

Thanks for advise all the way from puerto Rico.
