Header install
I am about to do a GHL header install. From what I have been reading, the heating capibilities are not that good. Looking at the headers, there is alot of space around the pipes/exchanger. Has anyone sealed these with a caulking compound to make for a more productive system. Philip

I had a different brand on mine and the heat exchanger seams were split and the gaps were a lot wider. I could still almost roast a chicken in there when it was turned all the way up. The set i have on there now isn't cracked and there isn't any noticeable difference.

Phillip,
The heat produced from the ghl's has been more than enough (in my Buffalo climate) and it comes on very quickly while we're at it. If your heater boxes and hoses are in good condition you should have no issue.
