Please help recognizing intercooler

Hi, I was offered this intercooler. Could you tell me what "brand" it may be and what it could be worth?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1304374321.jpg

I believe it is B&B. I would say 600-900 USD

I thought B&B's were polished. Either way it looks like it's probably from the same mold and that price sounds right.

Looks like mine. The castings (both end pieces) are not polished (I ground mine down with elbow grease and got somewhat of a shean on them). The front and rear plate surfaces are somewhat polished, though.
A good unit in my opinion, but then I'm biased.

Are there issues with the shroud with these? It looks very thick.

Thats a B&B IC for sure. Current MSRP is $2006 new for that kit. Usually take about a month to order new. Great unit, direct replacement, good flow and effective. Also made in Arizona, USA! They come in plain sand casting from factory. This is a non-long neck unit meaning it uses the original equipment boost control valve. Half of new would be decent deal. Cheers

I would have to go back and look, but I think I bought mine used about 5 years ago for about $750. And you're right about the sand casting. It can be ground down, smoothed out and polished with a lot of work. Or I suppose a person could paint it, but I like the raw metal finish with occasional metal polish wax.
I have yet to install a sealing gasket to mate up with the lid, as the IC sits real real close to the grill. There is no grove machined into the IC to accept a rubber lip, so a person would have to be creative on how to attach a seal.

Here is a black one that has been in use off and on for 15 years. Decent unit for the money. Short neck, doesn't fit stock lid shroud. ~$800 used is the going rate.

They do shine up pretty good but it is a lot of work at first, especially the end tanks:
