Haha whats up flieger the wheel is freshly painted & well taken care of...kept it far away from the water!

We at DZ look at it this way - these parts were made to be enjoyed, and now over 30 years later, we get to look at our unobtainium surrounded by beautiful women, not in some sterile painted shop all lifeless and dull.

Well, now you have a perfect excuse to take more photos- got to shoot looking out to sea so there will be no trash cans.

Thanks porscheguy - she's a classic beauty, and makes up for the fact I got all the tattoos. She's the best for ripped jeans and a tee shirt or a $5,000 evening dress...so versitile! I'm proposing to her within the year - she's a keeper.

BTW she will be at Rennsport Reunion IV and a few TurboPalooza's as one of the DZ girls - so all you guys can meet her in person!

Cool, I will see her - uh... and you too, Reaper - at Rennsport.

Just out of curiosity, will you be making those wheels in 7 and 8 inch widths? I like my 16x7 and 16x8 Fuchs but someday I might like to change the look, and these should be lighter- both because they are all Magnesium and because they look like a more structurally efficient design to me.

Haha, if you were excited to see me i'd be scared She'll be in a little black dress with DZ on the back

Actually the wheels will be made of a tempered aluminum - not mag due to expense. As it is there is huge $$$$$$$ to get started making these wheels.

Initially we will only be selling 935 fitments & 930 fitments due to obscene costs for tool & die as we're doing these as monoblock setups to keep them original looking.

Well, 16x7 and 16x8 were on 3.3 930s I thought, but the backspacing may be different?

Whoops, don't know where I got the Magnesium impression from- maybe just reading discussion of the originals. Aluminum is good as well- more ductile and less susceptable to porosity means it is easier to manufacture and has better fracture toughness = bend not break due to impact.

I think the design is still more structurally efficient due to having the material concentrated more in the center rather than the Fuchs inverted design with the "windmill" design.
