I thought you were going to mod the rear latch panel apron when I saw where the IC inlet was. I think it would have fitted fine if you made up a similar piece like your rear support.
The fuel head looks good and very functional on the left side.

Busman:
What it amounts to is simply, I f----- up. In looking at what my options were it was immediately apparent that cutting out the latch panel and rear cross member didn't make any sense. The car is painted, the engine is in, and the removing and fabricating of a primary structural member to locate one hose just isn't practical. I'm sending the IC out today and we will cut off the IC outlet to TB connector and reposition it to move the IC inlet further inside the engine bay. Cole

I thought hard on the GT3. In the end, for the moment, I am sticking with what I have. the primary reason is I am not sure what I would do with it. As much as I like the look of them, and I would consider them top of the 911 tree, I'm not sure what I would do with it. I could see me taking it for the occaisional sunday drive, but hardly a a DD. The rest of the time it would sit in the shed and I'd be looking at it. I get about as much fun from the 930 in that regard. So, at the moment, I'm having trouble justifying the $s. That may change, as my bucket list may change. Meantime, I'm winding more HP out of the 930, courtesy of rarlyL8 Regards Alan

Cole,
All you need is the flat fan and gear drive and you are almost done. You could use the flat fan to pull air thru the intercooler as well to aid in cooling the intake charge. Not that I want to complicate things anymore for you.....kidding. You got your hands full already Gungadin. Fred

Alan:
I understand completely. A friend of mine just bought a gorgeous late model cab. I took it for a drive and although it was a nice car and nearly new you didn't have to drive it you just pointed it. All the computer s--- and seemed like a car my wife would drive, way to civilized after the Old Sled. The Sled is vicious and you love it but you know it wants to kill you. In some sadistic way I would really miss that. Got to be the Old Guy and the Old Sled to the end. Trond: Absolutely incredible stuff on that site. Kinda like the worlds greatest candy store. Way to rich for the Old Guy. The Sled and I are just going to have to limp along with what we can cobble together. Cole

I would hardly say you are a cobbler... unless you have redesigned the basic shoe also to get rid of the bad design

Hey guys !!!
Been sitting here with my thumb up my ass waiting for the IC to get back. Chris has been great about fixing the IC even though he has many more important duties that would make him money. He is the most stand up guy I have ever had the pleasure to worked with I've puttsed around with cleaning things up and finishing some nit picking loose ends. I removed the cold start injector and the AAR and made a block off plate for the CS injector boss with a 4an nipple in it. I made a bracket and mounted a vacuum manifold on the left corner of the engine. I used the new 4an nipple as a great vacuum source to feed the manifold. The vacuum manifold will service 2 MAP sensors, the BOV, and a boost line up front for the WMI, EBC, and the boost gage. I pulled the WMI feed line to the back and plumbed it into a siphon solenoid on the manifold. The solenoid will shut off the WMI flow when the WMI is off and that will keep the fluid from siphoning back to the tank. ![]() ![]() Going to drag parts out from under the bench and do some clean up this weekend. I'll start installing the clutch linkage, starter, and half shafts. Cole

Cole, Happy Thanksgiving! Love the look of your motor real quality work need to see more the only improvement I would suggest would be the sewn and pleated sound pad that I have seen in some engine bays.

Just a little update:
Waiting on my IC to get back as well as some seals for the clutch shaft. Thought I'd get a zork from Bri and see what I could do with it !!!!!! The makings of the coolest old school Zork since the factory stopped making 934's. It's going to Arlos tomorrow for welding and once I get it ready and installed I'll post the finished product. Got to be another 20 HP of Old School Cool. ![]() ![]() Cole

Well, Cole said it'll result in 20HP gain...must be due to the fins creating less turbulence resulting in freer flow!
![]() Looking good Cole! Your zork is gonna look trick. Can't wait to see your IC installed, too.
