Hey Mikie !!!!

Ya !!! The Old Guy is upright for another year.

Thanks for the kudos, kudos from Boeing Air Frame Engineers are highly
valued.

I do have a shower cap for the stack, an old SC fog lite cover, and if it rains while I'm driving I'll just have to outrun it.

Cole if you need any finer mesh let me know. I don't make the screen but I distribute it and I can see if I can come up with anything finer. There are a few different weaves of wire screen and a few colors.

J930:

Really appreciate the offer but the screen I have is about .008
opening and I can't imagine needing anything finer. The screen on
the factory cars looked to be around .625.

Not sure of the wire open factor but we distribute the phifer screen line and they weave the wire screen for k&n I believe. If you need something just say the word. Cool design you came up with. John

Thanks for the offer and I will think on it but I gotta get more confident that this motor will hold together for a trip that long it was truly an experiment and it has lasted much longer than I thought it would.

Paul (The Mad Hatter Himself) :

Just great to hear from you and to have you back, I missed your sick
humor.......

Thanks for the complements and somehow I knew you would understand
my madness.

Worked on priming the fuel system and checking for leaks today. I will
button all the fuel lines, filter, and accumulator back up tomorrow and
get the air intake out for anodizing.

I've got start up planned for late this week.

My Doctor and I have become good friends and he's a great guy.
When my cancer came back 5 years ago it was pretty much all
over and the Oncologists wrote me off but my Surgeon didn't give up
on me. He did a surgery that had never been done before. He stripped
all the Lymph nodes from both sides of my spine ( that's where the
cancer showed back up ) Anyway five years later I'm still alive, I'm
an official Mayo Clinic Case Study, and "Stitch" won some International
award in Paris for the study and surgery. I told him I could make
personal appearances but he figured if I went along they would
probably want the award back.

Cole glad you got a clean bill of health. I didn't think you and I would come down to the wire like this if I only knew when I would get my car back.

Linc:

Thanks, it's really good news because it's 5 years clean which
usually means we beat it for good.

The big difference is I'm the only thing keeping my car from
being on the road and all you can do is remember patience is
a virtue and wait it out. I'm rooting for you !!!!! It's going to be
one of the greatest build ever done.

Trond:

Thanks for the kind words. I've added a couple pics. of our latest
accomplishment.

My $86 homemade rockers are done and installed.

Very nice rockers you made

One question: What will you do against stone chips? Clear foil?

Walt:

Thank you Buddy !!!!!! I'll take all the help I can get.

If I ever decide to start drinking I lift the first glass as a toast to you.

Roland:

Good to hear from you as always. The rockers actually turned out
really well. They really look good on the car. I'll have it rolled outside
soon and I'll take some decent pics. of the completed package.

I actually have excellent roads all over where I live and very seldom
if ever get stone chips. Now I did hedge my bet a little by painting the
car with PPG Tint Base White, no other colors added. If I do get a chip
I can touch it up, wait 24 hours, and once its rubbed you will never find it.

Linc:

This old girl and I have had a long long love affair and any differences
we have had have been long settled so she is as anxious as I am to
get it on. It won't be a battle it will be a second honeymoon.

Your the one who should be sharpening his skills. That incredible TK
monster makes the "Sled" look like a pedal car !!!!! Your gong to need
balls big enough to carry in a gunny sack to get in that girl.

Ronnie:

Thanks Buddy, that means a lot to me.....

I was just thinking of the list of things I have been called in my life,
inspirational never made the list. I'm just another old smuck trying to
make it through another day but I do have fun doing it.
