Nothing to add, just got you in my thoughts buddy! 5 years clear is great news! Keep the progress coming, you're an inspiration to many!

BTW saw in another's reply that you were looking for some 934 info. A buddy of mine just picked up a 935 Whittington Bros (started life as a 934). Could probably get down and take some pics of details on the car. Let me know... Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, these were take a couple weeks ago just after delivery.

Pat:

The crappy cell phone pics are phenomenal, the Whittington Bros.
car is one of my all time favorites. This car is one of the few originals
that was completely transformed through all the performance stages
from 934 to K3. I can't believe you are actually going to see it up
close and personal.

I have a lot of 934 information and I'm working on engine and CIS
information more than anything else. I have copies of both original
factory manuals that came with each car, there were only 31 934's
made.

Thanks for the kind words and just know the Old Guy is good to go !!!!

Cole, I can hardly wait for the moment when you fire that beetch up! You have built one special one-of-a-kind tribute to human ingenuity. You bad, dad!
Oh...and I love the plastic bottles. Looks like the type of performance mods my Gimpy ass would do.

Mr. Gimp:

I promise I won't ask if you have the 7200 on yet !!!!!!

Hope you've been well and it's great to hear from you.

The bottles are there in indicate the good places where gas leaks out. I'm
waiting on a new fitting for the bad place gas leaks out .

Glued the second rocker on tonight. The tail goes to Bob for strip and paint
this weekend and then she's a done deal. All done !!!!!

I'll be starting her as soon as that fitting gets here.

Question Intake screen

Hi Cole! Just curious if there is any real risk to the engine by not using a filter like K&N for example. What size is the mesh? Is it stainless to inhibit oxidation? I really like the look of it and would look to do something similar, but I'm concerned. By the way, I enjoy your candid responses written here to the rest of us. Glad you are feeling well. Marc

Hey Marc:

I'm tickled you liked the intake stack and thanks for compliment.
Sounds like you may be a nuts as I am.

The screen is very fine aprox. .006 or so and it's stainless. It's much finer than what 934's used on track. I also made 6 additional screens and I have some air filter foam I can insert between 2 screens if needed. I ordered a original 930 air cleaner seal and support ring and used them on top of the unit. I cut the screen the size of the support ring od and then put the screen on the inside of the ring and inserted the seal over the screen. It worked out well as it holds the screen firmly in place and the rubber seal inside fits tightly around the od of the stack. I did this because the original has no way of changing screens and tacking it around the top of the stack looked shabby.

If your looking at making one I would suggest 5"id tubing for the base and
5"od for the top. Cut a 22.5 angle starting 1" up bottom of the base and
then cut a matching angle on the top piece. The different od's will allow you to
set the top just inside the edge of the base so you can weld easier. If you have any question just let me know.

Trond:

The fittings I have for the 6an fuel lines are junk and I have had to order replacements so that will tie me up for another week or so. But hey, after all these years whats another week.

Unfortunately the "Old One" does not do video. Now last Friday the office gave me a new phone that does everything except wipe my ass so it probably does video but all I use it for is to call people.

News Flash !!!!!

I tried wiping my a$$ with the new cell phone and ended up in an hour long
conversation with a Romanian goat herder discussing the artificial insemination
of Yaks. Isn't technology wonderful !!!!!

Jeremy:

I spoke with the fitting supplier and they sent me a new style ferrules for the lines. I removed and replaced all the 6AN fittings. two still leaked.
I could not stand the thought of burning the "Sled to the ground with a bad 9
dollar fitting leak. I pulled all the 6AN lines and measured their lengths and ordered new replacement lines with crimp fittings and had all of them pressure tested.

I'm presently going through a punch list of tying up some loose ends and doing complete system checks so when I try to fire up I don't have any surprises.

Hope to be running this week.

Cole

I'll never forget when my sweet grandmother Katie told me there was no
Santa, I was devastated.

Well yesterday my faith was certainly renewed. It isn't Christmas yet but it
certainly was for me, a freight company called me and told me they had a
truck sitting at our office with a delivery for me.

Thanks to my incredible wife Christmas came a little early !!!!!!!
