Cole,
You're way too humble. But if that air intake ever "falls off," let me know, I'll be the fist one to snatch it up and give it a new home! Best wishes. Marc

If you'd like one I'll send you the information I learned making it. Was actually
pretty easy once I found where to get the right matrials.

What an incredible sight. That motor looks like a work of art !!!!!!

The IC is a true thing of beauty !!!!! Like the icing on the cake !!!!

When you look at the quality of work and attention to detail of
that IC you see what I have always seen in the TK crew. It is the
perfect example of Chris Carroll's standards and of everything
TurboKraft does.

It doesn't get any better than that !!!!

I have stayed in touch with what's going on. I have hesitated to comment
on any of it because so far we have no definitive answers on anything. I'm
seeing a lot of disparaging comments and conjecture from people who have
nothing invested and know idea what they are talking about.

What I have seen is a builder who, unlike the last 3-4 that f----- this motor
and it's owner previously, stand up on a public form and bare his soul. I don't
see Chris making excuses, blaming anyone else, blowing smoke up our asses,
or trying to hide anything. I see Chris disassembling the engine and posting
pictures and comments that show every ugly issue and standing behind his
work whether it be good, bad, or ugly.

What you are seeing is something that you have never seen before and
will likely never see again. An honorable man who will stand behind what he
does and make it right no matter what it takes or how long it takes.

As I am a big fan of yours, and have lusted after your RSR project for
a couple of years, your kudos on my meager build are really special. I
sincerely thank you. If I had enough years left I would be on my way with
a trailer.

I am not talking about that. I am talking about the apparent cause was water meth injection. I said what I said and will stand by it but I am glad it is at least been diagnosed and it also opened my eyes as to what vendors to not buy parts from for instance victor reinz.

Thanks Cole, really do appreciate the positive comments from you and other learned guys.

Yup, I've said it again, as many others have, but Chris has gone way above and beyond what would be expected to keep me on the straight and narrow with guidance, advice and opinions over the last year...a top bloke IMHO.

Lets get this baby fired up Cole, and use that new-fangled smartphone of yours to capture the moment on video!!

Cheers

Any WMI issues with Linc's build does not give me any pause as far as my car is
concerned. I'm running a rattly old 3.3 with a pancake manifold and CIS. If it were a
blue printed fresh build with a carrera intake and efi it might be a different story.

If the WMI is used properly on one of these old cars it should be fine as long as
one does not start out up by cranking up the WMI and the boost and just go out
and pound on it. You want to make sure you start with a 50/50 mix and dial the
flow way back until you get a feel for what works.

I hope I didn't offend you with my comments on that other thread I still hold Chris in high regard I just thought that the vendors could have been prodded to actually do something about the situation.

God, you surely didn't offend me, I have no dog in this hunt.

I think if you get to know Chris you will find him to be very analytical, incredibly
detailed, and extremely thorough. As such he is not going to go off half cocked to
give someone a half assed answer just to get them off his back, he is going to
find the correct answer and make it right. To do that it takes time. Along with that
he has other jobs he is doing and other schedules to meet.

As far as lighting a fire under his vendors to get answers he uses the best
there is and those people have more business that they can handle and are
not going to drop everything because he called with a problem. His vendors
are reputable shops and all are willing to help but it's going to be based on
their schedules not Chris's or anyone else's.

As far as an outcome is concerned it will get done and it will be right. And
most of all there is no one who wants it done and done right more than
Chris. Yelling, screaming, cursing, and trash talking someone is not going to
make it happen faster it's just going to make a bad situation worse.

The only end of the world is the end of the world and when you get as
old as I am it's just another bump in the road and patience is the only virtue
you have left.

Damn Cole....sage words if I've ever heard them! When I'm not tinkering with crochetty old super cars, I spend my professional life managing people to get the job done which I'm paid handsomely to do. It's human nature to attempt to place our own wants, needs, and personal biases before all others (thus, the reference to patience). After awhile (thus, the reference to age) we figure out that it just doesn't make the wheels turn any quicker. Even though, I had to bite my tongue more than once today when people stopped thinking and just buried their heads in the sand.

Hope you are well Bud !!!!

You've been pretty quiet lately I hope all is great with you and yours.

You have to understand that part of our journey to old age is helping the
young not make the same mistakes we did. You learn to change what you
can and accept what you can't and you have to let them take their lumps
so they can take over when were gone.

Just crawled out from under the Sled and the rear bumper is on. The tail
is the last thing to get finished. It's at Bob's being done as we speak and believe
it or not I going to fire up the old whore this weekend.

Now I have the dilemma of not knowing what I'm going to do when it's done.

Well I have had this damn bumper for over 20 years and it's finally where
it has always belonged.

The end is near, no pun intended. I'm going to light a fire in this old whore this
weekend.
