what do you guys think?

I've decided to turn the track dog into a 934. So wondered what the brain trust thought..
I"m thinking of getting front and rear spoiler/bumpers in FG.. Were there ever any full FG designs? (not that I care just curious). Any suggestions on who's to buy ?
Also have located a pair of flairs.. Im thinking I"ll be running 315 17s in the rear maybe 255s in the front ? What size wheels do you guys think I'll need? Was thinking I"ll go with standard offsets and use spacers.
This is a winter project so no pics yet. It's still track season!!
Oh and not sure what I'll do with the tail.
What do you guys think of matte blue? I like Reapers flat black look but already have a black turbo and don't need two

Sounds like a good project.

Are you going for the full vintage appearance thing, or more like a retro-rod -- old looks but modern details?

I've got the same tire sizes on my 10's and 9's fikse. 11's in the back would be a better fit though.

Todd,
Just did this. I run 10.5s up front and 13s in the back. Currently 255s and 315s. The 315s are a little stretched but the 335s were on a national back order for several months. I can get you offset and backspace numbers later for a start, however, as I found out, all cars are different due to exact flair placement and whether or not you have early front hubs or later...

My flairs were sourced from a buddies racecar, but I would check with Getty. They seem to have the best glass and molds. For a track car it might not matter. I wanted mine to look as good as the underlying steel...

Chris, I really, really appreciate it. I'll be sourcing that GT35R from you shortly...

The tail is my only possible regret. My thoughts were that without the 15" rear flares (mine are 13") the 934/5 tail would have over-powered the back of the car. I have to tell you though, that shot of the No. 10 car gives me goosebumps...

Do I misunderstand something here? Those aren't 964 bumpers, they look like G-type RS(R) to me

JP,

Your car is perfect the way it is. I've always thought the 935 style tails were way cool and only look too large when your looking at pics. where the tail is the forground focal point of the pic, then they appear much larger than they actually are.

If the car is running center exit 934 headers and turbo, especially if the CIS is relocated as on a real 934, you need the larger 935 tail. The 935 tail extends out over the rear bumper and adds much needed room for the intercooler, turbo plumbing, and placement of the relocated CIS.

JP,

Your tail seems more "period correct" and looks just right. I have seen your car in the flesh at AIR.... looks amazing.

Thanks to all for the kind replies. They are greatly appreciated. However, as I have effectively hijacked Todd's original thread, let us get back on track.

Todd, I am not sure how to effectively integrate the 964 type front bumper with the 934 airdam. However, you can run an IMSA type one piece bumper air dam in the front as on the 95 car above and a simple IROC type in the rear to eliminate the bellows and the weight. FYI, my bumper blades are glass with euro type tubes instead of bumper shocks which accounts for about 45-50 pounds off the ends of the car...

Ok that's it!! #95 white above Cole that's what I want..
So who's got the fiberglass molds guys? I"ve checked Better Bodies and Getty and it doesn't look like they have it..
The flares look a little extreme, think I'll go with the ones that RSR has .
Help me find a vendor

Bait:

Take a look at GT Racing if this is for the Track Dog. Great to work with and will work with you on price. Good People. AIR if you want the best and the real thing, pricey.
