Changing sparkplugs 1980 turbo 3.3L
The car is not catching on right and has increasingly become worse. Now it will not start at all. I am suspecting I need new spark plugs as the fuel we use in Europe is higher octane and mixed with bioethanol (5%), The car ran perfect on the fuel it had in the tank when it came from the USA.
Is this the cause? Or am I overlooking something? How do I go about changing the plugs? I am a newbee and I donīt have the special tools if I need them? ![]() |

sva,
There should be a plug removal socket in the cars tool pouch in the front trunk. Pull out No.1 plug and take a look at what it looks like and report back. Cole

Do I need the special tools or can I buy some generic tool to get it loose? |

Hi
I would buy a magnetic spark plug socket and a swivel extension. That's is what folds here recommended for me. It works fine. |

The factory spark plug tool makes it so easy. When I first got my 930 I struggled with several regular spark plug wrenches, before I realized what was in the tool kit.
