FOR SALE Andial Intercooler $1200

Just took this off of my 1988 930 turbo. Its in excellent condition. It only needs to be cleaned and the black glue removed from the edges where the rubber seal was. Both O rings are with it. it is a direct bolt on. No modifications needed.

Excellent Condition?

It would appear that an Intercooler with no seal, and visually a "bit" beat up is less than "Excellent Condition".

May we suggest Ebay?

As you have posted here, I guess it is fair play for comments.
I did see it on the parts for sale, but was also put off by the price.
(I am in the market for the 'right' intercooler)

The Intercooler appears to be a little overpriced for the condition.
I would say it would be worth cleaning up and replacing the seal or dropping the price/your price expectations?

That said, they are not making these anymore, so eventually it may sell!
Good luck
regards
Ben

I sent the intercooler to the powder coating shop. They are going to completely refurbish it powder coat it black. Its still $1200. Its a very straight piece.

I would be causious of powdercoating. I have one of these and the paint is very thin. If the paint is loaded on to thick it will change the heat transfer characteristics slightly. There have been a good number of these for sale on here and ebay painted, raw, polished They go for 1000 to 1500 depending on condition. With some elbow grease, fin staightening very carefully and cleaning off old seal residue yours will not be too far off the pace. Supply and demand. Good luck on the sale. Personnally if yours was made raw finish, leave it that way. The seal can still be bought at Andial. A newinter cooler cost appx 2000 just for reference and takes 6 week apprx. For delivery so they are still made...

FWIW, I would not Powder Coat (PC), but would clean it up a bit (elbow grease) and knock the cost of PC'ing off the price. I for one, would prefer raw, as I would be reluctant to PC one of these. I just purchased a used Kokeln (raw), link below, with all plumbing, elbow, and BOV for $1200 from this forum. I think just the bare IC's go for around 1K.

For reference:

FS: Garretson long neck polished intercooler with hand made end tanks

Heads Up Kokeln
