going long neck,...with short neck intercooler

ok,...stockish 1980 930 3.3,

i was able to pick up a

1. 965 turbo intake elbow new
2. 965 recirculating (blow off valve) new

both for super cheap

what else is needed to do this switch

1. a new piece of pipe to connect the new elbow to old intake pipe
2. ? when i remove the stock recirculating system...doesnt that house the boost sensor and some other things,...where do i move those to now?
3. silicone coupler to connect intercooler to throttle body

looking to remove all of this mess

I think for all of the trouble you will be going through you are better off selling the short neck and buying as large of a long neck as you care to stuff into the decklid.

i might be totally wrong, and please tell me if i am, but all the reading i did, this was a pretty simple thing to do, and apparently alot of people have removed this unit...

i am just curious where the overboost sensor goes..

i am not really concerned with the boost gauge sensor, as i have another gauge hooked up

Overboost sensor can go into the intercooler or intake manifold. Some aftermarket intercoolers have a bung for this, some don't and you will have to add one.
