Taller Final Gear or different gear pinion ratio for lowering RPM's on HWY.

I don't know a lot about transmissions.

Right now running a 915 tranny(no LSD) with a 3.3L stock motor, my car is turning roughly 3000 RPM's at an indicated 75MPH.

I do a lot of fwy driving, and would like to change either 5th gear from a 0.81, to maybe a .65-.70 ratio, or go the route of changing the final(is it drive pinion?).

Which might be the better route in terms of cost/simplicity to do this.

When you change the final drive, you change all the gear ratios. So if you go with a longer final drive you are going to lose a little bit off the line, but all the gears will be longer. I am looking into this for my project, but it may not be right for you.
