Tire Pressure?

I have read a few posts about Tire Pressures and many specify that it depends on the tires/size?

I have Michelin Pilot Sports on Kinesis K58 rims..very low profile. Tire sizes are 225/40/18 front and 315/30/18 rear

I haven't had the car long and just now checked the pressures (I SHOULD have earlier I know ) All four tires were under 20. After reading I put the front at 29 and the rears at 36.

I read the Turbo's like greater pressures? These rear tyres are W I D E.

Are my new pressures good or are there better recommendations?

It sounds like you will have to do a little trial and error. You could chalk the tires to see if they are rolling over (works really well for the fronts). As far as the rear, keep lowering the pressure until you start to feel a really good bite on hard acceleration. Your pressures seem safe, but you may want to bump the rears down a few PSI till you get optimal grip on acceleration.

Or you can wait 5,000 miles and see if you wear out the inside or outside tread first...

The tires already have a good amount of wear...not sure if I could tell if they are wearing more in certain places.

I'll take it out for a run tomorrow to see if I notice any difference....
