K27 rebuild

Wanted to briefly share a rebuild experience which was positive. I had an internal seal in my K27 progressively give way. A drip or two after shut down which was persistent for months. I brought the car into the shop for some exhaust work (thanks Rarlyl8) and valve adjust. While it sat it seemed the leak increased from 4-5 drops to a week later it formed a good size puddle. I looked into the options of purchasing a new unit form KKK and new unit from Porsche (crazy) and rebuilding. Finding a good re-builder was really tough...even after searching here. Through one of Brian's recommended shops, I was referred to a shop in Oceanside, CA called Pure Turbos. They were fast, reasonable ($395), have the right equipment for balancing, and returned to me a beautifully finished unit. It's been a few weeks and all seems like new. Anyway, it seems that it's tough to find a decent shop for rebuilds...at least for me, this turned out great and hopefully it can help someone else out.

Thanks johnghini. I'm going to be sending my K27-7200 to Pure Turbos with your recommendation. I'll report back on my experience in the near future.
