Fuel Door

My fuel door release busted the other day. I have 1/2 tank left so I have to fix it soon. Anyone know how to get it open and put the release back together???
The whole release pulled out of the dash...

I'm gonna file that fix away in my memory banks. I've had the esteemed honor of having to wrestle with the rear lid not opening....it's not a pretty picture.

Ha Ha... with no rear hood shock you should see the dance I have to do to get that rear whale tail lid open. Makes people laugh... especially when you are on the side of the road with cars whizzing by. LOL

Here's a pic for those who are wondering what the heck we are talking about. I used a shoelace from my hockey equipment bag, but I will be getting another, shorter version to keep in the glove box...
