Looking good! Are you planning to do the finish welding yourself?

The cold air intake is welded and installed. IC installed and starting on the Exhaust now.
Here are a few pics with final installation of filter, intake and IC.

This is simply beautiful. Outstanding craftsmanship.

May I ask which TIG welder you are using?

I have always wanted to learn to TIG weld

Thank you.
The TIG is a everlast inverter welder with a built in plasma cutter as well. It's a great garage shop TIG/ Plasma cutter.

Cheers!

I had about 4 hours today to work on the Exhaust, here are a few Pix.

I chose a Borla, I really like their strait though design. I used 3" stainless tubing and bends.

2 bungs: one for the O2 and the other for tuning purposes.

Mock up:

Exhaust out of muffler.

The reveal, I will do the same on the left side for the wastgate outlet.

All tacked and ready to weld.

All welded:

More pix:

Time to make it look a little better:

Now the wastgate side. I was able to get it cut and tacked, but that is as far as I got today.

WOW - I really admire your craftsmanship (I have been following your build from the beginning) . . . one thing to note - I wonder if you will end up leaving the oil tank vents (little K&N filters on the right of the intake manifold) inside the engine bay? Many people who do this at first report that the oil smell that enters the cabin is overwhelming as a result, and then move the vents ouside the engine bay . . .

+1 that is fine work and craftsmanship you need to post a sound clip of that exhaust when you get it fired up I bet it sounds fantastic! I have the same concern about your vents but mainly because they are angled down and will get messy over time.

Hi Kelly,
Awesome job, amigo! When is the first light up? Send me an invitation even with no notice and I'll see if I can be there. Either to hold the video camera or the fire extinguisher (not that you'll need it) or both.

cheers,

Doug

Thank you for the advice. If I smell oil, I will know where to start.

I have a video camera! We can delete the video if things don't light on the first turn.

Keep me posted.
