Brian...I'm confused about your active muffler system. You said a GT3 outlet cannot be used yet you also said that a GT3 outlet was used with an active muffler on your old red rocket. Can you clarify?

Good to know that your gray slant is running well!

Yes the final version of the muffler requires a more quiet baseline than our Street muffler body can provide, however the Street muffler body worked just fine to test the valves. That design also allowed me to change out the valves rather quickly, the final design has the valve welded in as part of the assembly. Other systems I see also have the valve welded in and the first thing I thought was you are screwed if that valve goes bad. So most of the testing time ended up being valve placement and longevity. With the Street muffler body I could place the valve closer to the turbo giving it a hellish environment to survive.

All- can't grab the link but go over to Pelican Member parts sales and search
FS: Bisimoto Pulse Chamber Muffler with Sound Arrestor.
This just makes me laugh at the stupidity and crazy money thrown at "celebrities" in the some Porsche circles. (The other guy just needs a bath and shave, not to mention taste, style and serious driving lessons).
This engine would make more power and be quieter with a collector and straight pipe.
Most Midas techs will do it for $100 and share a joint out back.
I'm calling Bull$chit on this muffler!

I've bitten my tongue clean off on that one but it has cost me a lot of sales so maybe I'm the dummy. The pulse chamber is just one of many tricks you can use to change the exhaust tone but it won't do much for volume. I believe the Aborigines perfected this wonder of physics 40,000 years ago with the didgeridoo.

Well there you just did it, Didgeridoo Chamber muffler. I can read it now, "From the genius of Magnus Walker, the same guy who cut the top surface off Fuchs wheels then called them his own, a breakthrough muffler that is actually noisier than a straight through tailpipe. Faster than that guy who makes his fenders grossly oversized and fills them with gangsta wheels and rubber bands. Yours for only $1000, plus the first three persons get a cool Outlaw sticker for your fender."

Where do you get those small rear rubber bumpers? Were they just on the euros? Would they bolt on to a '79 USA instead of the $%#&#$*&% US govment mandated monstrosities?

The Euro bumperettes were standard on the Euro cars but some changed over to US during the federalization process. You end up with a hybrid look as the Euro reflectors in the bumper strips are not always changed out.

Here is a picture of the '81 Euro 930 I had and a picture of the '85 Euro slant. The slant had the lenses, signal lights and bumperettes changed out while the '81 was left stock. Both had the reflector strips left intact.

Getting rid of this god forsaken relay nightmare once and for all. This is the bane of 930 existence. None of the relays in this back panel worked correctly. Finally stole the time to rip the panel out, fix the old wires, and **** can the relays. This coming week I will install modern relays only where they are absolutely needed. Everything else will be simple wiring hot with the key on.

Now THAT is worth documenting. Replacing the relays and eliminating un-needed ones. Great work.

Isn't the pulse chamber the same as the expansion chamber? Certainly an expansion chamber muffler was good for 1-2hp on a moped back in the 70's
