Can we use a wur from another car to send for rebuilt?
 

Hi guys
My WUR is working fine but would like to get an adjustable one .Do you guys know what other car make and model uses the same core WUR, that I can have rebuilt to 930 spec?

My mech used parts from a mercedes wur to rebuild my wur, it works great. He gave me the remaining parts. I later contacted Brian Leask about rebuilding it as a backup for my car, he said it would work, but I didn't get the confidence from him that it would work well. I never did it. Let me know if you want the part number and I'll dig it out. I'd suggest watching the classifieds and getting the correct core for rebuild. Brian B. (rarlyl8) also sells rebuilt and adjustable, but I'm not sure if he requires a core.

I had BL convert an 86 wur for my 78 930. He said it'd work. Seems he was right.

Only specific types of WURs can be made adjustable in 4 planes; cold, hot, threshold, and boost.
Yes you can scavange parts from other types but not all bodies will accommodate full modification.
The 930 WUR's that can be fully modified as-is are the -054 (late model only), -112, and -153. The -022 and early -054 must have the center and bottom plates swapped out for modification.
