windshield fit years?

OK, call me lazy but I thought I would ask the brain trust for a quick answer before trying to research elsewhere.

I ran across a potential good deal on a used windshield, since mine sucked up a large asteroid this summer. I'll eventually replace it with new, but having a spare (though used) one on had at a good price is worth it.

But, it's from a 1981 930 Coupe, whereas mine is an '87. I presume the body geometry didn't change between those years but don't really know for sure. Are '81 and'87 interchangeable?

Hey Mark, yes the they are the same glass with the antenna in the windshield , the 89 and up will fit also but with the smaller seal because the glass is larger from 89 to 94,and 95 thu 98 will also fit but with the glue in seal and that glass is even larger, have a great Holiday.

Mark when I undertook the 934ish conversion i went with an early non-antenna windshield as I run no stereo and brand new it was only a couple hundred dollars....

"95 thu 98 will also fit but with the glue in seal and that glass is even larger"

So if I am building an 82 930 and want an updated style seal and windshield that is glued in, I can order this windshield and have it installed by my glass guy? I have been looking for a way to replace the older style rubber seal.

Thanks

What I've been told, the 964 glass and seal have sealer applied between the gasket and body.
The 993 glass uses an inner and outer gasket and gets bonded in.
Neither gasket use the aluminum trim of the prior model.
