msd into 77 911s with 77 8 pin cdi 930

Anyone with some info here? I've searched but the 77 930 is more rare and less talked about. I have the mds 6al and am just wondering if there are any differences with my "oddball" 8 pin harness compared to the more common 6 and three pin? Thanks, BA

This old post might get you going in the right direction:

8-Pin CDI

Let me know if you want to sell the 8-pin CDI if you end up not using it.

Thanks, I don't have one. My engine didn't come with it just the harness.

I used very little wires from the 8 pin, the ignition power signal I think is the only one. It was really easy to wire the MSD.
