Not really the numbers I was hoping for but I suppose it doesn't really matter. That car is identical to mine.

This is the auction car.

Mine.

It can be a good place to buy, especially early in the week. I've seen quite a few good buys on cars that might not be the most absolute pristine, drivers if you will.

I was thinking of going and when I saw this i thought i should have. Then when i thought of the ( I think 8% ) buyers premium and travel costs........ still a good deal if anything like it was represented as being. Yes, I also think the seller would have done much better to a different audience such as RM Auctions or Russo Steele. Russo Steele also have some, a 88 930 cab #346 8 PM on Thursday and a 87 coupe # S623 around 1:30 Saturday. RM has a 05 Carrera GT Auction # 262. That should be interesting to see how much over $300 K it gets.

I think as a buyers prospective U DID WELL for that price. As for the seller.

I do watch BJ-Frequently..Thank God my GF- Likes watching it with me..

But the Porsche price - 930 seemed quite soft....

You see some nice refurbished cars go kinda cheap--new raditator, different intake.not original.etc..et..Then they take a hit in price....Even though they look amazing..

Saw not too long ago an old 356--go for wacky money..ALL Orignal..of course.

I like when they sell the indy cars for ~$60-80K...only a couple of million to build!

I am being offered an 87 Cab with 42K miles for $40K. It has 18" Speedlines (8.5 & 11), aftermarket exhaust, everything else stock. Triple blue in color and been sitting for over a year and needs all new fuel related goods (tank, lines, pumps, etc). I say this just for another point of reference on 87 930 for sale.

That was a very good deal for the buyer IMHO. Like others have said the Barret Jackson crowd might not be there for cars like the 930, they seem to be more interested in American muscle cars and the like. If it wasn't by chance that I came across my 930 4 years ago I would have went that route also.

@ Paul it may very well be Can Can but the auctioned car appears to have a lobster interior. How is the 930 coming? any time to finish her up?

Hey dude..

yeah, didn't see the auction car.. but I almost bought one @ Jim Ellis in ATL back in the mid 90's. It was identical to the one in this thread.

Ahhh, I'm just moving at a snails pace.. too many projects, not enough time or space. I see you're getting there however.. hope to see you done soon!

i think the comment about american muscle cars at BJ is right on. in the past few years they have drastically increased the amount of cars they put through to get the numbers higher of the total sales. You see very few Porsches out there. a ton of muscle cars though. I think russo or one of the other auctions going on this week had a nice 930 go through last year and it got like 80K?
